I like this card, nothing like a good surprise blocker.

I just noticed this artist's name is the same as the baby from Family Guy,

Flash and Trample make up for the steep cost. Surprise blocker on opponents turn, then trample the next.

This was legit in limited. Basically an (expensive) removal spell and then an attacker.

Strictly better than Carnage Wurm.

@Woozly that makes no sense. A Carnage Wurm can be a 9/9 trampler, flash does not make this strictly better than that.

"I think it's a good idea to attack that guy."

Suddenly, DEATH BY WURM.

Nobody sees this coming during a Pauper Cube game. NOBODY. Best common wurm of all time.

FLASHTRAMPLE!

...this might be my favorite creature to cast at instant speed. Having a surprise blocker is fun, sure, but topdecking and casting this at the end of your opponent's turn is hilarious.

YOU. *untap* ... *draw* ... "crap." ... *elongated sigh* ... "go"
OPPONENT. :D
YOU. "At the end of your turn, I cast HAAAAVENWOOD WURRRRRM"
OPPONENT. O_O

The only thing that could make this better is "during your attack phase, before blockers are declared, you may have this creature enter the battlefield tapped and attacking."

Hits like a hammer and costs like a fatty. Probably the most obvious trick ever.

Is it worth it? Hell yes. A 5/6 with trample is very respectable, especially with the pseudo-haste it has if you drop it on the end of the opponent's turn.

By far the largest Pauper target for Mystical Teachings(conveniently costing just 1 more than that card's Flashback), with only Bogardan Rager coming in a distant second.
