i prefer mutavault, since it doesn't come into play tapped.

Depends, you can't attack with Mutavault in the same turn as well. It is the best of the tenth-ed manlands.

Best manland ever. I love this card.

Mishra's Factory rules the roost, but Treetop Village takes a close second.

OK... can you really equip this thing and it'll remain equipped when it turns back into a land?

DarthKithkin - No, equipment can only be attached to creatures. If the permanent stops being a creature, the equipment falls off.

One wonders how a village turns into an ape.

10th Edition was the best core set ever. Interesting, powerful legendary creatures, manlands, and all kinds of powerful, fun, and flavorful cards from Magic's past.
I like how they errata-ed it to have the creature type Ape. Bad-ass human intelligence level apes that can build their own society in the trees and come out to beat face every once in awhile.

Is it a forest or a ape? YOU WILL NEVER KNOW!

This is really a good card, you essentially have an Uncounterable 3/3 Flash blocker in green. This is really good against removal heavy colors like Red and Black, decks with Blue really can't deal with a 3/3 creature easily either.

Anyone else suddenly get Donkey Kong Country vibes?
