Can this card be played as your first land of a game since it dont say that you need to sacrifice it ???

@Mirion: Sure it can be played as your first land, but since you have to return a land to your hand, and its your only land, you have to return itself.

Rules question: While a land drop does not use the stack, the "When it etB..." is a triggered effect. If I have an Amulet of Vigor in play, it also triggers. Since I control both permanents, I should get to choose the order in which they resolve. If I choose the Amulet first, the land should untap, allowing me to use it's mana ability, then return it to my hand due to its own effect. Right?

I know I'm super-late, but for the benefit of anyone else who cares: Yup. And not only that, if you have two copies of Amulet of Vigor on the field, you can drop it, resolve the first untap trigger, tap if for , resolve the second untap trigger, tap it for again, then finally bounce it (or another land if desired). :)
