I run this card in a grixis color forced draw/discard deck (think howling mine, underworld dreams, spiteful visions, megrim and wistful thinking) just for the art. It looks right at home alongside a crumbling necropolis or the other grixis basic lands. Really adds to the surreal hellscape environment of the deck. The limited, starkly contrasting coloring scheme combined with how the structures seem to tower over you from all angles is brilliant.
WotC should allow more opportunities for the artists to explore other interpretations of basic lands other than generic real-world landscapes.

Ravnica is a plane that is entirely covered by city, and normally you might wonder how a Mountain could possibly be depicted by a couple of buildings. When most people look at the Ravnica lands, though, I don't think they wonder that at all... I know I don't, anyway. The artwork for these lands is absolutely phenomenal. It was just an amazing block in general.

According to the Ravnica Guild Lands given out as MPS promos in 2006, this is the official Boros Mountain.
