Has some uses, especially if you're into counter madness (putting +1/+1 counters on things to get rid of -1/-1 counters caused by Persist, using Proliferate, etc.)

As far as i know - From reading MTG rulings, +1 +1 counter's still stay when things get Negged. Does it work the other way?

A +1/+1 counter makes a -1/-1 counter disappear and so will the +1/+1, basically they both go away. If you put 2 +1/+1s on a creature with 1 -1/-1 counter it will be left with a +1/+1 counter

From Comprehensive Rules:
121.3. If a permanent has both a +1/+1 counter and a -1/-1 counter on it, N +1/+1 and N -1/-1 counters are removed from it as a state-based action, where N is the smaller of the number of +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters on it.
