Usually I don't go around saying this about types, but not being a Zombie really hurts this guy. He wants to be in a deck where you can have all your creatures be credible threats, and that's usually a tribal deck. Of course, the big black tribe is Zombies, and his competition Gravedigger is a Zombie, so it'll probably be bigger than this guy anyway.
Vampires are on the rise, and they have less recursion already in the tribe... but they have less low-end lords, too.

Tanaka: Actually, you are wrong. You are forgetting about multi-block type correlation - with Kamigawa preceding Ravnica, the type Ogre was actually more useful than Zombie. Wizards have repeatedly mentioned that such things matter to them - there will hopefully be no more "Lets have a tribal set (Onslaught) right after we´ve done a set full of weird types.
