Why is this not a basilisk?

because it is a lizard with a nasty bite

Not too bad with lure, plus I like the art. He's just chillin' 'n' killin'.

Funny, considering only three lizards on Earth can be called "venomous."

Too bad that they're destroyed at end of combat, instead of obliterating them before they can do damage. Compare with Sylvan Basilisk, which for is a 2/4 that destroys blockers before combat damage (but doesn't destroy creatures it blocks).
