This is a really strong little card. You basically get a 0/3 and a 4/4 flyer for a low 4CC. The beauty of the whole thing is that the 0/3 isn't saddled with defender, so you can have some fairly hillarious moments where your egg is rolling into battle with either equipment or other boosts helping out.

2011 has a similar creature called Roc Egg. What makes that egg interesting is that it's a non-red Roc.

This is one of the beast cards in magic. It used to be that if it was discarded, you'd get a 4/4, but not anymore. :-(

I'd never use it in a deck that wasn't built specifically for this deck, but the deck I had that did combined the eggs with Hell's Caretakers. Just replace an egg on the table for one in the graveyard, repeat. One grand melee, I got up to 76 4/4 flyers :-)

@Gaussgoat, the best buff to use for that is Unstable Mutation, since it not only gives the Egg some good stats, it also guarantees its eventual hatching.
