I have a friend that has a casual deck that runs absolutely no basic lands. This card makes him cry.

Dropped this guy turn 3 vs. a Valakut ramp build and watched my opponent just about break down. Totally neutered his deck. And people think I'm nuts when I have multiple win conditions in my decks.

As Jacob Van Lunen points out, absolutely murders Tron decks that rely on Urza's lands for big mana shenanigans.

If I'm playing red I would not leave for a modern tournament without it.

This is a great card, but it's strictly sideboard material unless you positively know they have multiple cards sitting in their library still. Often I have this in my hand, waiting to use it against a land. Half the time when I do, I exile the only copy they have anyway, or the other copies are already on the field.

Pretty much shuts down an artifact deck with Urza's lands permanently. Not very fair if you ask me.
