Would love proliferate. Proliferate => possible card advantage every time you do it, which is sweet.

Repeat spell countering that stacks. It's also annoying for your opponent when they realize you still have three counters saved. If they try to kill it with removal, just use its ability. And yeah, as usual, Gilder Bairn, Proliferate, or Doubling Season.

Use one in my Geist of Saint Traft deck (it's spirit tribal anyway).
Current record is using cheap spirits and poliferate (while having a Lightning Greaves equipped) to get him to ten counters before flipping.
