Cool name for what it does. Other than that, theres better stuff out there for doing this, but I guess a clever player could kill an opponents guy with it too. Just be sure that top deck is a land or you'll look real stupid.

Like a lot of cards from this period, it just doesn't do enough for how complex it is. It might have been played at 1 mana in casual decks, but at 2? Nope.

Typically red and random. Roughly one third chance each turn to kill the creature, and two thirds to buff it. I guess you could put it on creatures you don't mind dying. Such as a rukh egg. If it gets buffed: nice, you got a 3/6 attacker. If it get's killed: well, then you got a 4/4 token. Or on a mindslicer, which would then be 7/6 (or have everyone discard their hands). Or put it on indestructible creatures. Or use it as a kill spell in some enchantment deck. Or whatever.... It's still a bad card, but interesting.

hm, majinara makes a good point, there ARE ways to use this card. but you have to have your deck built in a way where you can use it, it would probably work out pretty well in my black deck if it was black.

aaand besides that it's too likely to kill your creature to just pin it on your own creature willy nilly in hopes of buffing it, and it's too likely to buff a creature to put it on an opponents creature in hopes of killing it, there are better ways to kill a creature with a spell, and better ways to buff your own creature.

Yeah, I agree, majinara... Though I have to say, I would ike to see this at Red.

Use it on an enemy wall or something.

Seems fair with a proper use of Goblin Recruiter .
