Also a dimir guildgate that didn't come into play tapped would see play over checklands but not over shocks. Dat land type matters.

its obviously amazing, but come on- a dimir guildgate that doesnt enter the battlefield tapped is fun... but not for 4000 dollars!!! seriously. check on tcgplayer.
