Quite awesome for 3 mana, especially since red doesn't have much in the ways of regeneration. You can use this guy as a great blocker until you get the dragons in play.

On the Fourth Edition and later printings the flavor text is attributed to "Troll Chant." Maybe they realized "Traditional" was incredibly vague on these earlier printings.
