"Ach! Hans, Run!" and Lhurgoyf. Two reasons I am sad they got rid of this cards flavor text in seventh edition, it had its own nitch in magic with flavor alone.

The 'One Steve Rule' required that either the Hans on this card's flavor text be revealed to somehow be the same Hans that is mentioned on Lhurgoyf's flavor text, or all Hans-references get pulled from this card before it gets reprinted. Needless to say, Hans was not revealed to be immortal, and the 7th flavor text was Hans-free.

MaRo knew that it didn't make scene that Hans was somehow on Rath, a completly different plane than where the Lhurgoyf was on. He put him in the flavor text anyway because he thought it was funny :D Can't remember where MaRo said it, one of his many articles I guess.

Hans is clearly a zombie planeswalker. Presumably one with big bites taken out of him.

I want to use this with "Ach! Hans, Run!" the turn after using it to tutor out the Lhurgoyf.
And then tutor out Saffi Eriksdotter immediately afterwards.

Honestly, is it that hard to imagine that some pan-universal enchantment influences certain parents to call their children "Hans" for the sake of perpetuating this joke? I'm sure some pre-Time Spiral planeswalker out there had nothing better to do one day.
