this card should either cost 3G or 1GG instead, or the other groffskithur copy should be put into play instead. i dislike interesting effects, lowered in effect on common cards :(

Wow that cmc really kills the effect. I just can't imagine a scenario where it would be worth it. MAybe the ability can be salvaged and put on another card though. 1.5 stars for original thinking.

Am I the only one who thought Gatherer's "Random Card" had given me a foreign card?
As for the creature itself, the casting cost makes it harder to work with. If there was no limit to the number you could use in a deck, and/or the second copy came into play, it might be worth looking at.
