Yeah I'd rather not do that.

I guess its fair for reanimation at instant speed, and you can get an emergency second option as well.

I think it should have been "choose one: destroy target creature; or sacrifice a creature. If you do, return target creature from your graveyard to the battlefield" For 3B or 2BB, with an entwine for 1B or sacrifice a land to be playable. In it's current state, it's only really usable as an instant speed reanimation.

A combat trick that creates a pretty big momentum swing, as long as you're willing to pay an arm and a leg for it. Spike will gladly sacrifice his lands just to get the entwine off.

Mayhap if it said destroy 2 target creatures. As it is, the first part seems underwhelming compared to the second part.

Yeah, I play a deck based around putting lands in my graveyard ala worm-harvest and terravore, and I still wouldn't play this.

An Azusa land-shenanigans deck with Crucible of worlds has absolutely no problem entwining this card. Great way to buyback your lost lady if someone bolts her. Fun ways to win: Exsanguinate for massive.

Could have been cheaper, but it seems useful for EDH nonetheless.

Not every card in Mirrodin could be broken...

no, this is almost-bad design. This shows that a card that gives you two effects should try to combine similar costing effects, not put small and big ones next to each other too often-

Steep Entwine costs are a good way to keep people from 'hacking' too terribly, but {5}{B} is too much for "Destroy target creature". It's not good enough at all in limited.

{3}{B}{B} would be better, and {2}{B}{B} would be lowest you could get away with printing it. Instant Reanimating is surely really really good, and CMC= 4 might have been a Rare effect, but- well this card should either be a good rare or a crappy uncommon in my book. Probably 5CMC would be right.

Fuse is Entwine done correctly.

Limited can tempt you to play over-priced removal, but I still wouldn't pay more than 4 to deal with only one enemy card. 4 should conditionally get me 'most creatures' and six should get me 'probable two-for-one', either in the form of cantrip or in the form of a specific creature subclass plus a land.
