I actually used to love this card...if anything I liked it for its flavor text. Most players, myself included, would rather pay the extra mana for a Prodigal Pyromancer. But the fact it comes out on turn 2 means it can deal with your opponent's weenies they dropped turn 1 much faster, which ultimately means less damage to you. This card is really good with effects that trigger when you hit a player, as they can trigger twice per turn if you use it with this guy (since he hits you for damage, not loss of life).

A very good card. It is balanced, fun, and quite powerful. I'd love to see it reprinted as an Uncommon.

I have no problem with this as a Tim, 2nd turn drop seems worlds better than 3rd turn.
