I don't think LD is such a great skill to have, but it certainly is useful if your opponent either has:
A) A very annoying land
B) Only one land that produces certain kind of mana that he uses every turn.

...or if you're running a whole mess of land destruction, it doesn't matter what he's running since you lock him out of the game.

Punish evil greedy three+ color decks! This card is perfectly balanced in that regard. I wonder why Wizards prints great counterspells but awful LD spells for standard.
