it's good to know what is coming up and rearrange it to your liking, but ponder and preordain are better because they let you either shuffle or put cards on the bottom if you do not like what is coming up, albeit at the expense of not seeing as much. I suppose it is a matter of opinion and convenience.

"Oh damn, I won't draw a land for five turns. Guess I'll have to abide by that."

This card is good for letting you know that you've lost about five turns before you would otherwise.

Sorcery?

jsttu, it's not as good as Ponder because it doesn't let you also draw a card. The lack of card disadvantage is worth 2 less cards of reach, even before looking at the ability to shuffle.
