Not only is this card pretty bad, it's one of those stupid "sorcery instants" which are just confusing.

This is an interesting case of a Portal card that's a reprint from Urza's Legacy. Originally it was a regular instant in grown up Magic, so the oracle wording just disregards that "play only on your turn" line. However, "instant" cards that were first printed in Portal always do get the Oracle line about playing on your turn. It must be tough being in charge of errata.

Yeah, this card is pretty situational, but flavorfully it makes sense. Also fun to play in succession with Batwing Brume
