Wicked...the cost is a bit high, just dark ritual i guess and hope for a good draw, also use relequairy land for unlimited hand size for massive elf token extinctions! :)

Wrath of God & Damnation

for budget players such as myself:

Rout & Decree of Pain.

The cycle can't be ignored either, an instantspeed cantrip version of infest!

the cost is a little high (ok maybe a lot) but thats justified for one of the best non-blue card advantage spells. This is even up there among blue.

I just love this card in EDH =D Goes into every black deck I make, and it's just ridiculous with Reliquary Tower.

I'd go so far as to say it's better than wrath of god in EDH, since mana isn't much of an issue in EDH.

I like this card too- except in the 8 players EDH games we play I would deck myself. I wished that it would let you draw cards up to the amount of destroyed creatures. There are times where I literally can not play this card without losing immediately because the unchecked elf army has more elves than I have cards left.

.... and they have more than 2 toughness.

In casual play, most of the time this card says "I win" if you can get the mana to cast it. Amazing EDH card as well.

I hate to see this card in EDH! So silly!

"I tap {6}{B}{B} and play Card Advantage."
"What? That's not a real card."
"No, see here, it says Card Advantage and costs {6}{B}{B}."
"No, it says Decree of Pain."
"Yeah, like I said, Card Advantage."

^ what happens when I run this in my deck.

Did anyone else notice the shadow of Karona, False God on the wall?

But about the card, this thing is an amazing game finisher. Ive always loved wrath effects that gave you the advantage.

And the cycling part is just icing.

Does this Card have any lifestyle outside of EDH? I mean yeah it's cool and a hell of a lot of fun to play, but it doesn't seem very competitive.

Wait...

CYCLING is not CASTING...

Oh my god I found the solution to yesterday's "Building on a Budget" Erayo combo!

Love this card. Can give you a lot of fuel late game in a Bx control deck. Sure the mana cost is expensive, but if you're playing hard enough control it shouldn't be an issue.

The other day in EDH:

Opp: Decree of Pain!
Me (blue deck): I have a response.
Opp: Ugh... counterspell?
Me: Nope. Just a twincast.
Opp: Oh, ok. Fine whatever.
Bystander: Twincast one will resolve first, black mage.
Opp: :(

And yea, Karona said "Let their be pain."

And there was much rejoicing.

Amazing card. Wrath + massive card burst, and has the cute option to cycle for 5 with mini wrath! (at instant speed).
