This card was my very first...and I love it to this day. This art may not have the dynamic 'oomph' of getting smacked with a hammer, but it's still my favorite if just for the beauty and detail of an axe made of hardened lava.

haha in portal you werent alowed to target yourself with this, on the plus side the portal version doesn't target so it can get around player shroud.

Though M11's flavor text was bad, this is downright awful. Comparing axes made of lava to mundane household objects isn't a winning formula for flavor...

lol When I started to play MTG ~12 years ago, I thought this was the best card EVER. Oh, I was so naive then. xD That explains why I now have about ten of these cards now. -_-"
That said, the Portal artwork of this card is by far the best of all version, IMO.
