Gatherer incorrectly attributes the art on this card to Anthony Waters, rather than Amy Weber.

Pair with Hypnotic Specter to clock a permanent back into your opponent's hand, then (potentially) dump it into the graveyard.

Back in the day this was a Stasis deck enabler.

In a monoblue deck you'll probably prefer Temporal Adept.

I like the flavor from this card though. Despite the fact that this creature has 0 power and you'd really only want to block with this card when you desperately needed to, the ability will trigger if you get into any kind of combat. You could call it a chrono trigger :P
I'd translate this as "do not mindlessly interfere with time and space, or bad things will happen."

I'm not sure whether there's a thought like that within the non-enchantment restriction. You could interpret that magically enhanced objects are freed from the boundaries of time and space, but then it wouldn't make sense again that you can just bounce enchantments directly.

So i guess this was really just a functional restriction meant to keep players from destroying auras by bouncing the permanents they enchant, because this card was only meant to 'rewind' spells.

I'm not sure why it's exactly 5 damage (and 2 toughness) though.
t would have been cool if you'd flip a coin when it dies instead, with the chance of getting 5 life instead if you win. Because of the unpredictability of time travel, you know :D

Thats a stupid card what are the rulings?

Mathematically, how does this compare this to Capsize? Given that it's a permanent, the ability has fewer ways to stop it, even fewer still once you slap hexproof on it.
