They're really pulling out all the obscure mythic creatures in this set! This one's a badger-headed, hooved predator with bony ridges for teeth and the ability to mimic human sounds, most likely inspired by the hyena.

@Trygon: Seeing as how the spotted hyena is Crocuta crocuta, I'd say it's more than just "likely".

Nice to see the push for more vigilance in Green. White needs to set free a bit of its pie.

Leucrocota? Okay, where are the normal crocotas? (No, really; crocotas were supposed to be some kind of dog/wolf or lion/hyena hybrid with a severe hate-on for humans and dogs. "Leucrocota" is what you get when a crocota mates with a lion.)

A 2/4 with vigilance that costs 4. Might be useful in some situations, but definitely nothing special. The Monstrous ability is pretty overcosted for a simple +3/+3. However, could be good in limited when you have tons of mana and nothing to do with it. Not a great card, but that is what makes the game fair.

I thought this was a terrible card when it spoiled but after playing it at pre-release, I realized that these badger-horse-lions can do some serious work. They performed admirably well against all sorts of aggro-decks thanks to its 4 toughness.

It's a shame this is just a regular beast. It should've been a Chimera Beast or given its own creature type. Seeing as how there's so many different de***ions for it and what it's said to be able to do. Wouldn't mind seeing a horse/lion hybrid that's different from the Leotau. Good card though.
