Sad that they stopped printing this... Now, it would naturally be a Mythic rare just to drive up the price!

...And this, ladies and gentlemen, was the card that allowed Necropotence to truly show its worth. After all, you needed SOME escape valve if the can't-draw-normally clause became a genuine problem, and you didn't have enough life to draw a good number of cards abnormally.

The reason it broke the game with Necropotence wasn't because it let you start drawing normally again; that was just a nice side-benefit. The reason it broke the game was because by the time you play Necropotence and the disk, your opponent has usually played most of their starting hand (as have you).
Then you draw another hand with Necropotence and blow up the field with the disk, and they have no way to respond as you bring that new hand out and murder them with it. It completely breaks the flow of the game in a way that even Wheel of Fortune or Timetwister didn't. Even if you effectively manage to get a +7 out of those, your opponent is at least guaranteed to have some way to respond to what you drew. With Necropotance + this, your opponent simply loses.
