Ah, the Guildgates. These were such wonderful new toys for the Pauper player inside all of us. They're still awful compared to just about every other dual land, but one day I dream of a common dual land that doesn't entered the battlefield tapped. Until then I can be content in knowing that the duals I use in Pauper are the same ones people will be using in Standard once RTR rotates out.

I like the guildgates, especially in Izzet and Dimir decks that don't have many meaningful one-drops. I haven't ever had a time were I got screwed over by playing a guildgate instead of another land.
