I suppose this is great in a draft if you're aiming for two devotions. Otherwise, bad. Doesn't mean the art isn't amazing, though.

Wizards, y u no can't decide whether Shimmering Grotto should be common or not? :/

Remind me to wear Kevlar flip-flops while traversing the beaches of Theros.

What an awesome piece of art! It reminds me of the first couple hours of Chrono Cross.

@Lord_of_Tresserhorn: It's common in expansions and uncommon in core sets.

I enjoy all these functional reprints for my colorless EDH deck.

Wait what, since when was Gulliver part of Greek Mythology?

I don't feel one way or the other about this card, except that if it's meant for Limited I haven't seen anyone actually playing with it. While I appreciate common Cities of Brass, I don't think this (Shimmering Grotto) is the way to go about it. But then again, as a Pauper player I just want my very own set of common duals that don't come into play tapped. Which.. will never happen.

Beautiful, wonderful flavor! An example of an underwhelming card made palatable through a great name and awesome flavor text.

It looks like that crazy city where Sephiroth kills Aeris.

Great budget/limited manafixing. At common, this is decent in draft and can help even out a 40 card deck. Often it won't upset your tempo, since unlike guildgates it doesn't come into play tapped.

@Flavour text: Sounds more like something someone on LSD would say.

Strictly less well-known than Shimmering Grotto.

Great for mono decks that just need a minor splash.

Shimmering Grotto 5-8.

With art like this, I think it's Shimmering Grotto we should be calling Unknown Shores 5-8.
