why would someone use this if for the same cost you can cast Glorious Anthem?

I have to agree, it was good as a combat trick during its time, but the power level has gone up considerably. Useful in limited but trash in standard. You have Honor of the Pure that sticks around and rarely does getting a +1/+1 boost win you the game.
