While I do like the new slivers in their own way, I wish they had something from the originals, such as the little scythe this guy has. The new slivers don't have the same unifying characteristics as the old ones, which makes them look a little less... slivery.

If you're not going to use Bonescythe Sliver, this is really useful and a good 1-drop for sliver decks. If you are, though, then you might still want to use this until you can get a Bonescythe Sliver onto the battlefield.

This is one of thew new slivers that still looks decent. Most of them aren't terrible (save maybe megantic sliver - seriously, it just looks like some generic elemental thing) but this one is still nice and slivery

Because screw coming up with names, let's just put the creature's ability right in its name!

Meh, not that great. First strike is best on creatures with death touch, or on creatures with vigilance so they can multiple block. But this guy just doesn't give enough bang for the buck.

Firstly, a reply. Bonescythe is unplayable (like most of the new Slivers). It's not even a question between which one of the two will see constructed play.

So, this guy is basically straight out of the GreenRedGalerider school of efficiency. He's the type of card that Slivers would playset even if they WEREN'T starved for playable 1-drops. As it stands, he's competing with only Galerider in Standard and a handful of quasi-playable cards in non-rating formats. In short, he will see tons of play and wreck in constructed. Even his art is Sliver-esq enough to be forgiven.

A truly striking appearance.

I mean look, one of his appendages has a claw like that of our beloved, genetically inferior oldschool Slivers!

Turn 1: Mountain, drop this.
Turn 2: Forest, drop Predatory Sliver, swing for 2 with Striking Sliver.
Turn 3: Land, Blur Sliver, swing for 7.
Turn 4: Plains, drop Bonescythe Sliver, swing for lethal.

And there are other ways to get crazy Turn 3s or 4s with the new Slivers (the one above is perhaps just the most straightforward)...but they almost all start with this little guy.

As the only one-drop Sliver we have in Standard right now (at least without reaching for Galerider Sliver), I think he's got to be at least 4/5.

This is a very solid 1 drop for sliver tribal.

Art direction guide for the new slivers: "make them look exactly like the predator."
