Well huh, the Throat Wolf's been hiding under everyone's nose all this time...

How does card interact with creatures with double strike? Do they just deal normal combat damage? Or do they deal both first strike and normal combat damage?

It probably doesn't affect creatures with double strike. The ruling specific says a creature loses First Strike, and since it's a separate ability from Double Strike, Double Strike wouldn't be affected.
That's how I see it, anyhow.

Awesome art and an awesome ability. It's a shame that so many of the older creatures had really interesting and complicated abilities but were so underpowered that no one will ever play them.

With the right equipment- Blight Sickle and some power increases- this guy can kill Kaldra in combat and live to tell the tale.
@SengirPatriarch: It doesn't interact with double strike at all. It only removes first strike, which they don't have.
Against a double strike creature, both this card and the double-striker will do damage at the same time, in the first strike step; and then (if it's still alive) the double striker will do a second iteration of damage in the 'normal' step.
Anyway, this card is mostly terrible. First Strike is a somewhat rare and situational ability in the first place; it's not worth paying so much extra to interact with it.

If anyone reading this later wasn't aware; this card was inspired by the old Throat Wolf Usenet rumor. It was allegedly an "ultra-rare" card that had the ability "firstest strike" or "firster strike".
I think the rumor specified it was green? I didn't read Usenet back then, I only heard the rumor indirectly, and at the time thought it was entirely plausible (which says a lot about me, heh). In any case, an "actual" Throat Wolf appeared in Duelist Magazine as a fake joke card. If you're curious you can find it out there on the internet.

I think my mind shattered.
