Also a solid card in a banding deck with the added area for damage to be spread around among your bands.

First turn Ulvenwald Tracker, second turn Veteran Armorer, third turn Protean Hydra. Now you have a 2/2 hydra with damage prevention, which grows each time when it blocks. And if the opponent suddenly does want to attack, use the tracker to force any of his creatures to fight the hydra.
