This is actually not bad, since if you drop this with lotsa red mana available, he ends the game pretty quickly. Of course, having KoK out makes this better, but it's still playable without it.

The one that summons scion of darkness isn't really unique. Uborg Panther does that too, with a couple other creatures you have to sac. And they've made several of these in the Alara block. This card is eh, though I don't really dig it.

I really didn't want to go for the pun here, but he sure is a kooky card. Anyways, not the best beater for R ever, but a fine body a while back.
Trample is arguably even better than Flying on a firebreather. They need to make a new one.

Fine on it's own actually. Not much trampling firebreathing out there. The turn you attack, if mono-red, is 8 trample.

Playable without its companion. firebreath 3/5 trample for 5, should kill them faster. Can deal 8-9 points of damage on turn 6 if you dump all into it.
