I know that the "Commandos" in the card stands for commando in plural.
But somehow, when I keep bumping on this card, I read the "Commandos" part with a mexican accent.

So it costs five mana for something that is a 4/6 vigilance sometimes in aggro decks which need to be really fast.....

Sometimes on attacking it's a 4/6 with vigilance, sometimes it's not. And at all other times it's just a 3/5 anyway. Which is horrible for five mana. I guess as a very very late pick it's acceptable in a draft, but apart from that: eeeeew. 1/5

A sometimes 4/6 vigilance for 5 mana at common. No complaints here, it's just about right. Not every card can make you feel all fuzzy inside. Remember, the power curve needs to have cards below it as well as above it, and this one is just about right on it.

Boros decks in limited are really not looking for a five mana creature that is best-case a 4/6 with vigilance. Orzhov generally isn't, either. If you've got some kind of slow, defensive, grindy Orzhov deck, maybe. But if you're being defensive, how often are you going to activate battalion? Not often, I think. This is definitely not a card I want to find myself using, ever.

I was actually excited when I first saw this bulky Boros card. Then I realized how expensive it was mana wise. I think I'd pay 4 mana for this at most. Especially since Boros has such useful and cheap common cards...
