wow im glad this card isnt in standard! it can come out on turn 2 with a dark ritual and still have mana to counter on the other persons turn! it even stops a progenitus!

Balony, that can only work if you have 2 Dark Rituals, because by the time they play something you'll only have 1 land untapped.

Very cool oldschool card. Not that fantastic and not even sure it would see play in sideboards in todays standard... but very notable for the art. Anson Maddocks at his best.

Counters Emrakul since it isn't a spell that's countering him. Also, this would definitely see play in the sb for monoblack control, in standard.

I don't think that works. Oracle wording for this says just Counter target green spell and Emrakul says just can't be countered.
And then there's the fact that Emrakul isn't green...
