It is worse; the man in the picture's friend was about to add this card to his U / W deck... luckly he said "no friend, do not add Soldevi Heretic to your deck, its a trap." It was nearly the necision that would have lost him the pre-release.

The body of this card is alright, but the ability just killed me when I saw it. Not only is it an off-color ability, (Hope you've got some plains in your deck) it ends up helping your opponent. It might not have been this terrible when it came out, but there are far better ways to prevent damage now.

Okay, so I play this, but the deck I use it in would play it with just "{T}: Target opponent draws a card". It's fun in that sort of deck!
