It doesn't need banding. As long as it attacks alongside at least 1 friend, it can attack. As long as it is not the only creature blocking an attacker, it can block.

I started playing during Odyssey, and I always thought this was some kind of snake thing. Somehow it took me ten years to process that the other stuff back there is part of its body.
