I'd have loved this guy as a handy little beast... Kavu are not a tribal type you can make use of since they don't have any good cards for the early game right now.

Horned Kavu is pretty good early game, and works well with unkicked Kavu titans, also lets you reuse your flametongue Kavu.

@Kryptnyt That wouldn't really work given that Kavu were created by Gaea to protect Dominaria from the Phyrexian invasion. So you can see why they really only work in the Invasion block.

They should print Kavu every now and then to expand upon the tribal implications. I think that the Surrakar tribe could all have been Kavu. @jwolps If Vedalken can exist on many planes at once (mirrodin, ravnica, alara), then Kavu should have no problem. The design of kavu isn't clever. In fact, they don't seem to have any real identifying characteristics at all, past being four-legged mammal-reptiles of medium size.
