This thing is great for picking off that big critter AND that annoying land. Oh and the lack of target restriction on a partial black card is awesome.

Great card, I have it in quite some decks. It's basically a stone rain and terminate slapped together (with a slightly more forgiving manacost). Sure, it's slower than both and burns you for three, but it is also card advantage. And the combination of ld and creature kill is pretty nice, since even if you just destroy basic lands with this, you make it harder for your opponents to play creatures (which they better do since they just lost one).

Plague Spores is probably better- 1 more mana without having to pay the life.

Absolutely love the art on this card.
