It's really amazing how much this card can shut down a deck.

"Oh, I bring out my Sphinx of the Steel Wind out, protection from green and red,I say it's game" Casts Disenchant and destroys it. Not so tough now, without your "trump card," huh???

It's not seldom that a player loses to one unanswered artifact or enchantment. Most unacceptable creatures have to attack or block to be a threat. More decks have an increased chance of dealing with such things.

However, there is pretty much one way of dealing with an enchantment or artifact that passively cuts you inconvenience.... and this is it. Lest everyone of your decks are curve-ball or tournament competitive, this should be main decked (or something equivalent in your color).

If you don't care about yourself, then think of others. Outside of your knowing, there may be other players who are happier than you can imagine that you ran artifact/enchantment removal. Just think about the last time you blew up a Bloodchief Ascension during a multiplayer game.

Ice Age came along, and no longer were we forced to play cards with chicken decor. There was much rejoicing.

My favorite Disenchant art, although the Mirage version is funnier.

I love this version of the card. Black border with one of the better arts. The card is always good - especially in EDH where artifacts and enchantments are abundant.
