The very words to come out my mouth when I first saw this: "What the *$%#"
Trample on a blue creature, much less one that flies and is not an enormous sea monster is extremely peculiar.

Toss a couple Unstable Mutation's on this bad boy and we'll see who's gawking then :D

Maybe because the English word "erne" (a sea eagle) is derived from the Norse "ørn" (just "eagle").
Back when this came out, I don't remember getting much out of the trample: most of the 1/1 weenies I went against didn't have flying, and anything that did fly and block ended up pummeling it. Its good if pumped up by something else though.

It irritates me a bit that they obviously tried to make it like "Ørn", yet for some reason they managed to misspell it entirely.
@longwinded: Ah, thank you once again! =) I had no idea that "Erne" was an actual word in the English language!

The flavor text is lying, this thing couldn't even kill a Hill Giant.
If you're splashing blue in a deck with creature pumps, the trample could be useful
But then again, other colours prolly already have larger tramplers already

Yes, but a flying trampler. Needs couple of Unstable Mutations though.

I seriously had to laugh when I saw this was a 2/2 with trample.

Epic art. I remember opening this in one of those Ice Age decks, and thinking synergy. It was rare to have flying tramplers that didn't have gigantic drawbacks (Lord of the Pit anyone?).

To those wondering about the trample part, it's like the artwork just wants to reply "$#&% you i'm a dragon!"

Now, add a bit of green and you could play an Assault Zeppelid, enjoy the extra size at common prize!

Flavorful, BUT should have been a 4/4 at least (for a higher casting cost, of course.)

2/2 bird with trample. This guy almost got a green counterpart in Planar Chaos.
