Fascinating effect. Early in the game, you don't want colourless mana, but you do want some kind of mana. Later on, you're probably in need of just colourless mana, which makes this a very good card to draw in the midgame or endgame.

Why this came only in green precons?

@Condor_96 Well it does trigger landfall early on, possibly activating a khalni heart expedition getting a couple more lands to make it useable. Yes, magical christmas land, but doing absolutely nothing? Hardly.

@jwish27: I was just correcting Chamale, in that you can't use this for mana early in the game, as he said you could.
If you've missed a land drop by turn 5, there is already trouble brewing. So yeah, it's a gamble. I think the text should read that Temple of the False God is red.

Hehe, I was playing EDH the other day and I opened with 2 lands (lord knows why I didn't mull) well, i couldn't use this card for anything else, so with 3 lands on my field and a golgari keyrune i played life // death and swung for 3. Didn't make one bit of difference in the game but awesome to attack somebody with a useless land.

Also, how has nobody mentioned Karona, False God.
And great for turn 6+ in Commander.
