I don't really understand why they put cards like this in the decks.. They could've reprinted something that actually deserved it.

Well, WotC evidently has a high enough opinion of it that it's in TWO decks (Riku and Zedruu)...

@greg2367: In my opinion, the reason they put them in two Commander decks is based off the strategies. Riku's deck can copy our Rapacious one which doubles the threat of more damage and more spawn.
As for Zedruu's deck, the idea is to donate the spawn you make to an opponent in need of mana, therefore gaining them as a temporary ally, even if they sac them and you don't get the life and cards.

Honestly, he was my favorite of the Drones; the ability to pump out the babies as a result of trample-damage is just nice. Throw on an infiltrator's lens and see what they do about him.
