I think he's supposed to more generally have the duty of avenging slights against those he deems worthy of his attention.

IMO, this dragon is the ones which has more sinergy with the rest of his Commander deck, because of Kaalia of the Vast.
Other than that, Oros has got decent P/T, does a minor board wipe whenever it attacks, and is a dragon. I don't see anythin wrong with it.

I think he's been outclassed by Balefire Dragon. Sure it is one more mana, but it is: - Two less colors. - Doesn't hit your creatures, at all. - Hits your opponent's creatures twice as hard. - Doesn't need mana for it's ability.
