There have been very few times in Commander that I've felt the need to actually remove a counter and use it's ability. Essentially it's just fun to empty the counters and bounce it back to your own hand.

Goes well with Ravnica's karoo lands. Plus, it's fun to remove a counter to add {G} to your pool.
