Awesome looking art on the card, really gives an "evil presence" kind of feel to it.

5/5 just for the art.

The fact that you see an opponent's hand and choose what they discard makes this so much better than Freyalise's Charm.

I imagine the Star of David in the art was unintentional....

Anyone knows what's written on it?

@Kirbster - While it looks like the Star of David, it's most likely there to represent a hexagram.

~Zuty

"In alchemy, the two triangles represent the reconciliation of the opposites of fire and water. The Non-Jewish Kabbalah interprets the hexagram to mean the divine union of male and female energy, where the male is represented by the upper triangle and the female by the lower one. Moreover, it derives four triangular symbols from it to represent the four elements: water, fire, air, and earth." ~Wikipedia

The art is nice, but I don't like the fact that it's restricted to Green.

If you ability was for everything and the ability cost was 3-4 CMC, then that'd be not only fair, but much more useful.

A lot of cards stand in that "Sideboard-Worthy" pile alongside Yawgmoth's Edict and Blue Elemental Blast.

There is no "successfully cast" anymore so you can use this on countered spells. Run this with Deathgripand Painter's Servant calling green. You can pay BlackBlack and either counter it or choose a card for them to discard, or BlackBlackBlackBlack to counter it and make them discard something. Second ability gives a bit of safety against Tranquility/Back to Nature type effects, if a bit expensive. Then again, built-in bounce protection for your enchants is unusual for black.

The list of cards where Drew Tucker's art actually works is pretty small. This is on that list.
