I'd give him a 2.5/5. He could be a good finisher in some decks. I use him in a casual infect deck for just such a purpose.

Not as horrid as it looks at first glance. The fact that you can tap those lands before sacrificing them, and that you can use the ability as many times as you can afford per turn, means this can enable sudden pump to push through the last points of damage you need to win. This is particularly relevant in infect decks, which only need 10 damage to win - especially those with double strikers.
