I guess it had to show up with a dragon theme and all.

No love for these cards at ALLLLLLL.

Oh well. None of them could really be effective without players who are slappin' down spells every turn and the fastest would probably be blue with control or red aggro/burn so...

These aren't bad, and designed well. You can only gain so much life from them though, but if life gain is important to your mono-red deck, then this is about your only option. 2/5.

This is the only one out of any cards in this cycle which might do you any good, only because a red opponent is usually casting multiple spells per turn. Unfortunately, all of those spells are typically direct damage, but at least this will counteract some of those Fireballs you'll be taking to the face.

And hey, it's not Iron Star, so it has that going for it.

Hey, up against (or playing) a mono-red theme deck, it's okay. Teaches new players about the importance (or pointlessness) of certain kinds of lifegain.
