because once it's in play you wait until they draw something annoying, like a wrath, baneslayer, or some combo piece, and you can get rid of it without having anything in your hand or any mana open.

Also back in Invasion there wasn't any Telepathy!

It's not that bad. Having an opponent discard any card of your choice costs normally like 3 mana. Add one and you have a telepathy for versatility. In multiplayer you can play this to have opponnents see each others hand and then make them attack each other because they are worried about what they see. ^^ And if someone has a bomb threatening you, you can still sac it.
They shouldn't have added the "only at sorcery speed" part though.

When it say's opponents play with their hands revealed, do they mean revealed to the owner of this enchantment, or revealed to all players? I could see that in a multi-player game at least only one opponent has knowledge of your hand. If all have knowledge of your hand, it makes it far more difficult to play cards unopposed.

@SonofSamus- "revealed" applies to all players, and they will see each others hands. "Look at target players hand" effects are more secretive. Though it's up to you whether to let other people know what you saw in the latter scenario.
Telepathy was first printed in Urza's Block, two blocks before invasion...

Despite the sorcery-timing of the discard effect, this card is not bad; also the four mana casting cost IMHO is not too much: you need this card mainly against opponent's "bombs", which normally are played late in the game, and you can also cast it only as a specific discard effect when needed, since you already know what opponent has, due to Telepathy (which when Invasion came out already existed, being it from Urza's Saga)! Not a Vintage-playable card, but still playable...
Wow, pretty nice! Seeing everyone's hands is a pretty nice boon (though some playgroups might get miffed and attack you for it- it happened in mine.) Then you can snatch a problem card. Great flexibility.

Well that would be true, if it wasn't for the sorcery-speed restriction. The moment your opponent draws something like Wrath, Baneslayer or some combo piece, he'll likely be able to cast it immediately. This spell costs after all.
There might be a good balancing reason for adding this activation restriction to repeated discard effects in general, but since this is a single use for four mana, it shouldn't have had it i think.
And it would have been so much better without it (without getting broken), because then it would actually work the way you presented it.
