Excellent with Decoys and/or Steam Catapult, though Crackdown my be the better choice.

A great removal card, particularly against decks that have huge creatures, or ones that you don't want to kill outright (I love you, Keiga). It's saved me many times. 4/5.

For moving pacifism-esque effects, I prefer prison term, though I could see where this is useful.

i enjoy it, use with Icy Manipulator or such to consitently lock down creatures, and the enchantment never dies a la rancor (kinda)

People tends to forget that this card can also shut down creatures with tap abilities in addition to preventing it from attack/block. It's a good reusable card.

One of the better lock down cards, as opposed to something like Mystic Restraints or Ice Cage. Effectively cripples a creature, and then, if a new threat arises, return it to your hand and play it on the new big guy. Absolutely fantastic combo with Royal assassin.

Question about this card: If I use a card to return the "Shackled" creature to my hand or sacrifice it to the graveyard, can the opponent get Shackles back by paying 1 Plane? Or does Shackles go to the GY?

@Zaiteria - Yes, the enchantment's controller can respond to whatever spell or ability you're using to get rid of it by activating the return to hand ability. To be sure it will go to the graveyard you need to wait until they don't have any white mana available.
