Hmm... I like it. Just by itself, it can pull together a little twosome which might be nice... Also, it could be a nice base creature to put in a banding deck.

What a classic piece of history. For a 4th edition constructed game, would totally rock 2-3 of these humble little one drops, because why not?
Compared to today, a 1/1 for 1 is not worth the mana. The ability banding is not worth it imo. On a 1/1 its either going to let you reach for 1 extra to kill a creature in combat without losing anything, or let your transfer all the damage to this guy for a favorable trade. Its not a useless ability but I think just giving your creatures regenerate for cheap solves all the things that banding is trying to do.
